On my birthday, she sent me a birthday message on my Instagram, and all I replied was "thank you." After that, everything went cold.
On occasions, I was lucky to see her repost some pictures or videos, and I made one or two comments.
But somehow, something about her stayed on my mind. Madam Sandra had no pictures at all on her Instagram, so there was barely anything to connect with. I searched LinkedIn, checked tagged photos... she was such a mystery and I just kept searching for her without even realising how invested I was becoming.
"From the very first moment I truly set my eyes on her, deep down I just knew, this woman is my wife, my forever."
Even our mutual friend, Ikay Uwaifo, randomly nudged me about her at some point. Then one day, her friend posted her and she reposted it. Ahhh... it was such a beautiful picture. I immediately sent it to Ikay saying, "See as she fine..." 😂 From that moment, I was hooked.
Then I sent the first message... then another one... and from that moment till now, I honestly haven't stopped talking to her. She became my person. My peace. The one for me.
On Seun's birthday, I sent him a "happy birthday," and he responded warmly. On my birthday, he did the same. And that was pretty much it.
A couple of months later, I was talking with a friend, Ikay Uwaifo, and Seun's name came up. Turns out they went to school together.
I'm not sure what conversation they had about me, but Seun started to show interest afterwards.
We had moments where I sat beside couples on a few occasions in church, as we bantered about couples doing love things in church. Little did I know our own story was being written.
"And the rest is history."
